MBA Department Hosts Five-Day FDP on Advanced Research Methodologies

The Department of MBA organized a Five–Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Beyond the Basics: Advanced Research Methodologies for the Modern Scholar” from 12th to 16th May 2025. This FDP was aimed at enhancing the research competencies of faculty members and academic researchers. The program provided a comprehensive overview of advanced research tools and techniques, emphasizing the need to move beyond traditional methods to address complex and interdisciplinary research problems. Expert speakers from academia and industry shared insights on topics such as methods of research, data analysis, and SPSS hands-on training. The sessions were designed to offer theoretical grounding and practical applications, encouraging participants to adopt innovative approaches in their scholarly work. This program was inaugurated on 12th May. Dr. Kanthesh S, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, GFGC Bettampady, Puttur, was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized the importance of research and also gave some suggestions to improve the quality of work in research. We had four distinguished speakers for our Five-Day Faculty Development Program who shared their expertise. They were: Dr. Kanthesh S, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, GFGC Bettampady, Puttur; Dr. Abhay Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration, Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Udupi; Prof. Neeraj S. Rai, Full-Time Research Scholar, TA Pai Management Institute, MAHE Manipal; and Dr. Ramananda H. S., Professor, Department of Mathematics and Dean of Students Welfare, St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru. Throughout this FDP, the speakers covered topics such as mastering the art of research writing, data analysis, statistical analysis, and SPSS hands-on training. Around 92 participants from various institutions took part in the FDP. Post the event, participants expressed high appreciation for the content quality and its relevance.
