Inaugural function of Marine Student Association AIMES-2021-22

The Inaugural function of Marine Student Association AIMES-2021-22 was held on 30th November 2021 in Srinivas Institute of Technology, valachil, Mangaluru. Mr. Pratap Rai Chief Engineer and the present HOD of MMCT was the chief guest for the function. The function was presided by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of Srinivas Institue of Technology. Mr. Pratap Rai, in his inaugural address spoke about his experience on his ship and advised the students to be trained and prepared before attending placement activities. He also insisted students to give their priority towards personal safety onboard. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D in his presidential address congratulated the office bearers of AIMES 2021-2022. He motivated the students to actively participate in co-curricular and placement activities to enhance their skills. Also he urged students to develop positive attitude towards their careers. Dr. Shankar K S, Head of Marine Engineering, encouraged the students to extensively use the opportunities available under AIMES platform to progress their growth in technical areas and exhibit their talents. Prof. Chandra Jogi incharge HOD, Prof. Tony K Sebastian faculty advisor and faculty members were present on this occasion. The Dignitaries, Staff and Students were welcomed by Mr. Savan P, President of AIMES and the Vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Abhishek P, Secretary of AIMES. The master of ceremony for the event was Shethal GS. The formal function was followed by a technical Talk on “Marine Engineering and Career Prospects” by Chief Guest.
