
UDBHAV 2025: A Startup Summit for Professionals and Students
The Institution’s Innovation Council IIC of Srinivas Institute of Technology Valachil in association with AMARA BASICS Incubation and Startup Cell and EDP Cell organized a workshop on the occasion of World Entrepreneur’s Day titled UDBHAV 2025 A Startup Summit for Professionals and Students on 20th August 2025 at 11:00 AM in Room No 007 Academic Block. The resource person for the workshop was Prof Shailesh Shetty Head of the Department of Computer Science and Business System who delivered an insightful session on entrepreneurship and startup opportunities. In his talk he emphasized the importance of innovation business models and the role of young professionals in shaping entrepreneurial ecosystems. He explained how startups can leverage technology creativity and networking to sustain themselves in competitive markets. Prof Shetty also provided practical guidance on Udyam registration and highlighted the advantages of MSME registration for budding entrepreneurs including access to government schemes subsidies and easier credit facilities. He further encouraged students to develop problem-solving mindsets focus on scalability and make use of incubation centers mentorship and collaborative platforms available to them. His session inspired students to think beyond conventional career paths and explore entrepreneurship as a viable and impactful journey. The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr Praveen Shenoy IIC Coordinator Dr Sandeshkumar Rai Head Department of Automobile Engineering and Dr Soorya Krishna K EDP Cell Coordinator and was efficiently coordinated by Mr Prakash T and Mr Vinod Kumar Staff Coordinators. The event received the full support of Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D Principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology whose encouragement underscored the institution’s commitment to fostering educational excellence and holistic student development. The session commenced at 11:00 AM with Ms Kavya C Mutta a 7th semester Aeronautical Engineering student extending a warm welcome to the gathering. Mr Prakash T Staff Coordinator introduced the resource person while Ms Poornima Yakkundi also a 7th semester Aeronautical Engineering student served as the master of ceremonies. The workshop concluded with an engaging interactive discussion where students actively shared their startup ideas and clarified their doubts. The program was well appreciated for its relevance in motivating students toward entrepreneurial ventures.
