
Smart India Internal Hackathon (SIH) 2025 Inauguration
The Smart India Internal Hackathon SIH 2025 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Srinivas Institute of Technology SIT on Monday marking an inspiring start to a day dedicated to creativity and technological innovation. The event was formally inaugurated by the President of the function Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D Principal of SIT. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr Suresha D Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Dr Soorya Krishna K Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering who shared the dais. Prof Madhusudhan S SIH College SPOC and Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning welcomed the gathering and briefed the audience on the objectives and stages of the Smart India Hackathon 2025 emphasizing its role in fostering real-world problem-solving and nurturing a culture of innovation among students. In his address Dr Suresha D highlighted the need for innovation and critical thinking encouraging students to participate in large numbers and to develop out-of-the-box solutions. Delivering the presidential remarks Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D spoke on the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence AI and its growing influence on human life. He advised students to embrace AI technologies and adapt to evolving human–machine interactions citing the example of Anuvadini AI as a tool that demonstrates the potential of AI in bridging communication gaps. He cautioned that those who fail to learn and utilize such tools risk being left behind and urged students to go hand in hand with AI machines. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya also congratulated the organizing committee and extended his best wishes to all the participants. Adding to the significance of the occasion external jury members from Srinivas University Mukka graced the inaugural function. The jury included Dr Navin Kumar J R Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering Prof Varsha Assistant Professor Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Prof Gaurav Prasad Head of the Department of Cyber Security from SUSIT Mukka. Their presence brought valuable expertise to the evaluation of the hackathon projects. Heads of various departments of SIT were also present lending their support and encouragement to the student participants. A remarkable total of 120 teams registered for the SIH 2025 Internal Hackathon reflecting the strong enthusiasm and innovative spirit of the students. The programme began with a prayer song rendered by Deeksha Sharma and Chaitrya followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. The function concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof Mallika Assistant Professor MBA Department. The event was smoothly hosted by Miss Yashmitha a 7th-semester AI & ML student who served as the Master of Ceremony. The Internal Hackathon serves as a platform for students to showcase their creativity coding skills and technical problem-solving abilities with the top-performing teams earning the opportunity to compete in the national-level Smart India Hackathon 2025.
