Shark in the Tank Report
On December 3, 2024, the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS), under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Maya D, Principal, and HOD Mr. Shailesh Shetty, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized the Shark in the Tank competition as part of the Altius Event. This highly anticipated event provided an exciting platform for budding entrepreneurs and students to showcase innovative business ideas. Modeled after the famous television series Shark Tank, participants presented their proposals to a panel of expert judges, or "sharks," who assessed their ideas based on originality, feasibility, and market potential. The event began with an inspiring opening speech highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship in today’s dynamic world, followed by a detailed introduction to the format. Participants shared groundbreaking ideas, ranging from tech startups and sustainable innovations to creative service models and social impact ventures. Each presentation concluded with a Q&A session, where the sharks provided valuable feedback and engaged in insightful discussions. The Shark in the Tank competition encouraged participants to think creatively and strategically, fostering a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial mindset among students. The event was a testament to the department's commitment to nurturing talent and preparing students for real-world challenges.
