Intra-Institutional Business Plan Competition – ECE Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Entrepreneurship Development (EDP) Cell, STEADY Association, and YUKTI Cell, hosted an inspiring Intra-Institutional Business Plan Competition on May 12, 2025, at the college’s Project Labs. The event aimed to provide a platform for budding innovators to pitch their entrepreneurial ideas and showcase their problem-solving capabilities through structured business models. Participants included student teams from the department, who presented a wide range of innovative proposals with commercial viability and social impact. The competition was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Soorya Krishna K, Head of the ECE Department, and Mrs. Flavita Janice Pinto, Staff Coordinator of ECE. Their mentorship and encouragement played a key role in motivating students to think out of the box. The event also received strategic support from the YUKTI Cell, which is committed to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in alignment with national initiatives for Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). Evaluators applauded the originality, clarity, and feasibility of the business ideas presented. The event not only encouraged entrepreneurial thinking but also gave students the opportunity to interact with mentors and refine their ideas based on valuable feedback. The Business Plan Competition served as a successful convergence of creativity, critical thinking, and strategic planning—marking a milestone in SIT’s efforts to nurture future entrepreneurs and change makers.
