Report on Altius–2023

Srinivas Institute of Technology's Department of MCA witnessed a spectacular showcase of technological prowess with the grand celebration of Altius – 2023 on December 27th. The fest aimed to inspire, educate, and celebrate the spirit of innovation among MCA students. The event kicked off with an inspiring inaugural ceremony graced by Dr. Shashidhar Kini K, Head of the Department of MCA, Mr. Rajesh Naik, Faculty Advisor, distinguished faculty members, and MCA students. Ms. Banjan Neha Mohan welcomed the dignitaries, setting the stage for an eventful day that emphasized the importance of technology and innovation in the modern world.Altius provided a platform for MCA students to showcase their technical skills and talents, fostering a collaborative environment for learning and sharing innovative ideas. The fest aimed to facilitate interactions between students, faculty, and industry professionals.The day was filled with activities and engagements, led by ten event coordinators and five teams: Lazy Bugs, Binary Brains, Technical Error, Tech Titans, and Unix Unicorn. These teams, comprising sixty MCA students, participated in various technical competitions, including Byte Scholar (Paper Presentation), Control+Alt+Defeat (Quiz on Emerging Technologies), Thug of Words (Debate), Neural Puzzle (Picture Quiz), Tech Trivia (Web Designing), and Decryptor (Debugging and Password Cracking).The winners showcased outstanding skills and problem-solving abilities.The overall winner was Team Binary Brains, recognized for exceptional teamwork and skill. Team Technical Error secured the second-place position.Altius drew an impressive turnout, with active participation from MCA students and faculty. The fest served as a meeting ground for individuals passionate about technology, creating a vibrant atmosphere of knowledge exchange and networking.Positive feedback from participants and attendees highlighted Altius's success in achieving its objectives. The technical competitions witnessed intense competition, showcasing the exceptional talents of MCA students. Ms. Anjali, a 3rd-semester student of MCA, proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging the success and contributions to the event.
