National Literacy Day Celebration

Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil Mangaluru and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organized National Literacy Day celebration on 8 September 2023. National Literacy Day is celebrated annually on September 8th to emphasize the importance of literacy as a foundation for lifelong learning, personal development, and the well-being of individuals and societies. The Information Science Department recognized the significance of this day and took the initiative to celebrate it in a meaningful and impactful manner.To commemorate National Literacy Day, two dedicated members of the Information Science Department, Ms. Ayishathul Azmeeya and Mr. Arpith K, organized and delivered a compelling PowerPoint presentation under the guidance of the Head of the Department Mr.Sudarshan K and Assistant Professor Mrs. Sowmya . The primary objective of this presentation was to raise awareness about the importance of literacy and to underscore the critical role of the Information Science Department in promoting literacy and education.
