MoU Signing and Travelogue Launch Mark a Grand Event at Srinivas Institute of Technology Mangaluru, April 23, 2025 — A significant milestone was marked at Srinivas Institute of Technology as the institution hosted a distinguished gathering for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the launch of an evocative travelogue titled "From Shrine to Skylines: Nepal Through Our Eyes." The event commenced with the arrival of eminent dignitaries including Mr. Mullai Muhilan M.P., IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada; Dr. CA A. Raghavendra Rao sir, Chancellor of Srinivas University; Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro Chancellor; and Mr. Rajendra Kalbavi, Executive Director of Nirmithi Kendra. They were cordially received by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology; Ar. Kumarchandra, Dean; and Ar. Vasudev N. Shet, HoD, Srinivas School of Architecture. After a soulful student-led prayer, Ar. Vasudev N. Shet extended a warm welcome and introduced the esteemed guests. The ceremony progressed with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the ushering in of knowledge. Ar. Leslie Dias took the stage to present an overview of the MoU, underlining its significance in promoting sustainable and affordable construction practices. This was followed by the formal signing of the MoU, reinforcing the institution's commitment to innovative and eco-conscious architecture. The highlight of the event was the launch of the student-curated travelogue "From Shrine to Skylines: Nepal Through Our Eyes," which was unveiled in both physical and digital formats by the Deputy Commissioner. In his address, Mr. Mullai Muhilan M.P. commended the students' remarkable efforts and emphasized the importance of experiential learning, heritage preservation, and sustainability in education. Mr. Rajendra Kalbavi and Dr. Srinivas Rao echoed similar sentiments, stressing the MoU's impact and the use of environmentally friendly materials in the construction sector.
