Innovations Workshop by AI&DS Department under IIC

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science AI and DS of Srinivas Institute of Technology Valachil Mangaluru in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council IIC organized a workshop titled Innovations on 30th May 2025 The resource person for the event was DR Lokesh K S Assistant Professor who shared his expertise on the latest trends and strategies in innovation management design thinking and product development The workshop was aimed at equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive innovation It emphasized the importance of creativity experimentation and risk taking in developing innovative solutions The event witnessed active participation from students who benefited from real world insights case studies and interactive brainstorming sessions The brainstorming session was particularly engaging with students generating a wide range of innovative ideas and solutions to complex problems The session encouraged students to think creatively challenge assumptions and build on each others ideas Through this collaborative process students gained a deeper understanding of the innovation process and developed valuable skills in idea generation and problem solving The energy and enthusiasm in the room were palpable and students left the session feeling inspired and motivated to pursue their own innovative projects The program was supported by Principal Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D and was successfully initiated and completed with efforts of Prof Nagaraja Hebbar N Head of the Dept AI and DS Dr Praveen Shenoy IIC Coordinator Prof Ganapathi Sharma Event Coordinator of IIC AI and DS
