Innovating beyond the classroom: My journey as an entrepreneur

The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology Mangalore under the banner of All Students Mechanical Association ASMA in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council IIC EDP Cell III Cell and the Incubation and Start-up Cell organized a technical talk on Innovating beyond the classroom: My journey as an entrepreneur by Mr Adithya Madhukar Bhat Director Swizosoft OPC Pvt Ltd on 20th August 2025. The event was presided over by Dr Shankar K S HOD of the Mechanical Engineering Department. In his presidential address he congratulated Mr Adithya for the achievement he has done and motivated the students to take up the challenge. Mr Adithya Madukar Bhat Director of Swizosoft OPC Pvt Ltd shared his inspiring journey of growth and entrepreneurship. He began during his college days by forming the Rajashree Technical Students’ Community which prepared and distributed study materials to support fellow students. Later he initiated educational video lectures for YouTube gaining experience in editing content creation and knowledge-sharing. With guidance from his mentors he pursued certifications and conducted workshops such as web design training which received positive feedback and boosted his confidence. He later expanded into student development programs across multiple districts partnering with PUC and diploma colleges and successfully trained students from Karnataka and beyond. His company earned recognition from the Government of India. The talk also covered emerging opportunities in entrepreneurship government support schemes and the importance of incubation centers and mentorship. The speaker encouraged students to pursue their innovative ideas and assured them that failures are stepping stones to success. The program concluded with an interactive Q&A session where students clarified their doubts regarding start-up funding scalability and career opportunities in entrepreneurship. The event was highly appreciated by participants for being both motivational and knowledge-enriching.
