Ignition of SSOSC 2025-26 and Inauguration of NEXUS

The Ignition of SSOSC 2025-26 and the Inauguration of NEXUS was held on August 30, 2025 at Srinivas Institute of Technology Mangaluru marking the start of a new academic year filled with opportunities for innovation leadership and teamwork. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D Principal of SIT presided over the function while the chief guests were Mr Devesh Shetty Software Engineer at levels.fyi and Mr Sujith D Full Stack Developer and Technical Trainer at Bose Professional. Professor Shailesh Shetty Faculty Coordinator of SSOSC and NEXUS served as the inducer of the day guiding and inspiring the participants throughout the session. The inaugural ceremony featured lamp lighting addresses by the dignitaries the introduction of office bearers prize distribution to winners and tokens of appreciation presented to representatives from various esteemed institutes in the region. A major highlight of the event was the introduction of Luna the semihumanoid artificial intelligence robot developed by SIT students. Luna impressed the audience by communicating both at the venue and virtually showcasing its features while introducing itself. This demonstration reflected the institution’s culture of creative exploration innovative spirit and technological excellence. The audience was captivated by Luna’s selfintroduction which exemplified the talent creativity and technical expertise of SIT’s student community. The program concluded with an open mic session leaving the air charged with enthusiasm and positivity. The event set a promising tone for SSOSC and NEXUS 2025-26 inspiring students to carry forward the spirit of creativity collaboration and pursuit of excellence.
