Hands-On Workshop on “Introduction to Machine Learning using Python”

CSI student chapter of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, organized a Hands-on Workshop on “Introduction to Machine Learning using Python “on 21st November 2023 and it was tailored specifically for students pursuing their B.E degrees in CSE, ISE and AIML. The workshop was honored by the esteemed presence of Dr. Hemalatha.N, Dean (IT Academics) of the Post Graduate Department of IT & Bioinformatics at St Aloysius Institute of Management & Information Technology (AIMIT), Beeri, Kotekar, Mangaluru. Dr. Hemalatha.N led her team, comprising Ms. Rithika Adapa, Ms. Raksha Mohan, and Ms. Christina, contributing to the success of the event. The workshop was a resounding success in achieving its objectives of providing participants with a foundational understanding of machine learning concepts and practical skills in Python programming. The workshop encouraged active participation, with participants engaging in coding and exercises throughout the sessions to implement machine learning algorithms. Exercises included data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation using real-world datasets ensuring valuable learning experience for all participants. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, urged the students to make the best use of the opportunity and focus on improving their technical skills. A total of 84 students enthusiastically participated in the workshop. Prof. Spoorthi. B, CSI Student Branch Coordinator along with Prof.Ravishankara K, HOD, CSE, Prof.Sudharshan K, HOD, ISE and Dr. Anoop. B. K, HOD, AIML coordinated the whole event.
