CPR Awareness and Training Session Empowers SIT Students and Faculty with Life-Saving Skills April 30, Mangaluru: Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Valachil, in association with the NSS Unit of the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) Department, organized a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Awareness and Training Session on April 30, 2025. The initiative aimed to impart essential emergency response skills among students and staff, fostering a culture of preparedness and social responsibility. The session was conducted by *Prof. Sunita P* from the Srinivas Institute of Nursing Sciences, who delivered a comprehensive training comprising both theoretical insights and a practical hands-on demonstration. The theory session covered the significance of CPR, situations demanding its use, and the correct procedure for administering it. This was followed by an interactive practical session, where participants used professional medical equipment to practice CPR techniques, enhancing their confidence in responding to real-life emergencies. Organized under the guidance of *Prof. Madhusudan S, Departmental NSS Coordinator, and **Prof. Rakesh Mallya, College NSS Coordinator, the event received active support from **Heads of various Departments, all of whom were present to witness and encourage the initiative. A **token of appreciation* was presented to the resource person by *Prof. Gourish Hegde*, acknowledging her valuable contribution. We extend our sincere thanks to our *Head of the AIML Department, Prof. Daya Naik, for her continued motivation and support, which played a vital role in the success of this event. The event was also made possible through the excellent support of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of SIT, and Prof. Pradeepa M, Principal of Srinivas Institute of Nursing Sciences, to whom the organizers expressed their heartfelt gratitude.
