Anti-Ragging Awareness Program

As part of Anti-Ragging Awareness Week the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering ECE organized an awareness program on 20th August 2025 under the guidance of the Anti-Ragging Cell headed by Dr Anant Kumar Kulakarni Professor and Head Department of Mathematics. For the 5th semester students the session was conducted by Prof Sathish Kumar K while for the 7th semester students it was conducted by Prof Gourish Hegde. Both faculty members addressed the students with clarity and concern emphasizing that ragging in any form physical verbal or psychological will not be tolerated under any circumstances. They also highlighted the legal consequences of ragging as per UGC guidelines and explained the strict disciplinary actions that would be taken against offenders. During the sessions all students submitted their Anti-Ragging Affidavits through the UGC website reaffirming their commitment to a ragging-free campus. The primary objective of the program was to sensitize students to the harmful effects of ragging and to reinforce a culture of respect safety and harmony on campus. The event was attended by students from various semesters of the department along with faculty members making it an impactful and meaningful initiative.
