🚀 'Exploring Emerging Technologies' - 6th Sem AIML, SIT

Mangaluru, February 25, 2025: The 6th-semester AIML students from Srinivas Institute of Technology, under the guidance of Prof. Parvathraj K M M and Prof. Nithya B P, had an enriching visit to the CSD Lab at NITK Surathkal. The visit, led by Shreshta Naik, covered various emerging technologies, providing students with valuable hands-on experiences and industry insights. The session focused on advanced AR/VR technologies, UAV (drone) applications, and sustainable electric cycle manufacturing. Additionally, students attended a Virtual Labs (VLab) session, learning about its role in enhancing practical learning. Students explored multiple labs, including: - **CAD Lab:** Insights into Computer-Aided Design for prototyping. - **Geospatial Engineering Lab:** Understanding satellite imagery applications in urban planning. - **Manufacturing Lab:** Exposure to the YUVA 3.0 project used in forestry applications. - **Aerospace Engineering Lab:** Learning about drone surveillance and aerospace research. - **Mechanical Lab:** Exploring AI and cybersecurity in hardware development. This visit provided a comprehensive exposure to cutting-edge research and industry applications, fostering enthusiasm for advancements in computer science and engineering.
