Wings of Innovation

The Department of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering, in association with AMARA, the Yukthi Innovation Cell, Incubation & Startup Cell, EDP Cell, and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized the program titled “Wings of Innovation” on 5th May 2026 at 2:00 PM in Room M503, Mechanical Block, SIT, Mangaluru.

The objective of the program was to encourage students to present their innovative ideas and gain exposure to entrepreneurial opportunities through the guidance and support of the Yukthi Innovation Cell, Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) Cell, Incubation & Startup Cell, and IIC. During the event, students presented their project ideas and innovative concepts before faculty mentors and subject experts. The presentations were evaluated, and constructive suggestions were provided to help refine the ideas and transform them into feasible and sustainable solutions. The program significantly enhanced students’ confidence in presenting their innovations and highlighted the important role of the Yukthi Innovation Cell, EDP Cell, Incubation & Startup Cell, and IIC in mentoring aspiring innovators and promoting entrepreneurial development.

The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Shenoy, Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering and IIC Coordinator. The program was coordinated by Dr. Soorya Krishna K., EDP Cell Coordinator; Prof. Shailesh Shetty, Incubation & Startup Cell Coordinator; Prof. Vivek Vijay Kumar, Yukthi Cell Coordinator; and Dr. Sandesh Kumar Rai, Head of the Department of Automobile Engineering. The Principal, Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., emphasized the importance of fostering creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship as key contributors to institutional growth and development. Mr. Prakash T. and Mr. Jagadeesh B., AMARA Coordinators, with Mr. Jagadeesh B. also serving as the Department Coordinator for Yukthi Cell, EDP Cell, and Incubation & Startup Cell, played a vital role in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of the program.
