Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Electric Vehicle Technologies

The Department of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology Valachil Mangaluru in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council IIC organized a session on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Electric Vehicle Technologies on 8th August 2025 at the AC Seminar Hall The resource person for the session was Mr Sudarshana Karkala Co Founder and EV Engineer at CAR Software System Bengaluru Dr Praveen Shenoy Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering and IIC Coordinator and Dr Sandesh Kumar Rai Head of the Department of Automobile Engineering addressed the audience and highlighted the significance of electric vehicle technologies in the current global scenario Mr Sudarshana Karkala delivered an insightful talk focusing on recent innovations in the electric vehicle sector entrepreneurial opportunities and the integration of modern software systems in EV development He also emphasized the scope for budding engineers to contribute to the sustainable mobility ecosystem through innovation and start up ventures The program was coordinated by Mr Prakash T and Mr Vinod Kumar Staff Coordinators It was organized with the full support of Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D Principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology whose backing underscored the institution’s commitment to fostering an environment that values educational excellence and holistic student development The event concluded with Mr Karan Rai a 5th semester Automobile Engineering student delivering the vote of thanks The session ended with an interactive Q and A where participants clarified their queries and discussed potential ideas for projects and startups in EV technologies The session began at 1100 AM with Ms Kamalatha Y Shetty a 5th semester Aeronautical Engineering student extending a warm welcome to the gathering Mr Dheeraj D a 7th semester Automobile Engineering student introduced the chief guest and Ms Kavya C Mutta a 7th semester Aeronautical Engineering student served as the master of ceremonies
