Department of Information Science

Overview

The Department of Information Science and Engineering was established in year 2006. The Department offers B.E (ISE) undergraduate program with an annual intake of 60 students. The Department has adequate infrastructure with state-of-the-art laboratories and other supporting facilities to enrich learning environment. Our Department has well qualified and dedicated teaching faculty members aiming at imparting quality education through their rich research, teaching and industry experience. The department conducts special workshops and technical talks on advanced topics, to bridge the gap between the university curriculum and the need of the industry under the student association AISE and IE(I) Student chapter. Students are encouraged to take up interdisciplinary research and project work in various domains of computer science like Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Networking, High Performance Computing etc. and are placed in reputed companies. The Department has an excellent placement track record where in various companies offer attractive salary packages. Major recruiters are Infosys Technologies, TCS, Global Edge, Wipro, I-Wave, SLK software etc. Internship opportunities are provided for final year and pre-final year students to carry out projects.
