The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), in collaboration with the Placement and Alumni Cell, organized a Training and Feedback Session on VLSI Fundamentals in association with Karmic Engineers on 22nd August 2026. The program was conducted at the Cloud Lab, Ethnotech Lab, Dr. Raghavendra Centre of Excellence. The session was organized with the objective of providing students with industry-oriented exposure to VLSI fundamentals, understanding current industry expectations, strengthening their technical knowledge, and preparing them for VLSI-related placement opportunities.

The session was conducted by experienced VLSI professionals from Karmic Engineers, who are also proud alumni of Srinivas Institute of Technology. The resource persons were Mr. Ravichandra R. G., IO Characterization Engineer; Mr. Ravish Bhat, IO Characterization Engineer; Mr. Chetan, AMS Layout Engineer; and Mr. Charan Naik, AMS Layout Engineer. Their participation provided students with an opportunity to interact directly with alumni who have successfully transitioned from academic learning to professional careers in the semiconductor and VLSI industry.

The program provided students with valuable exposure to the industry requirements of the VLSI and semiconductor domain and helped them understand the difference between academic knowledge and its practical application in an industrial environment. The interaction with SIT alumni working in specialized VLSI roles also provided students with realistic insights into career opportunities and the skills required to enter the semiconductor industry. The session motivated students to focus on strengthening their fundamentals and acquiring industry-relevant technical competencies.
