*Srinivas Institute of Technology Inaugurates Smart India Internal Hackathon 2026*

*MANGALURU* — Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Mangaluru, successfully hosted the inaugural ceremony of the *Smart India Internal Hackathon 2026* on September 16, 2026, at the college Seminar Hall.

The event was officially inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the President of the event, *Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of SIT Mangaluru, alongside department heads and faculty members. In his presidential address, Dr. Mayya commended the remarkable turnout of **over 100 student teams* and encouraged participants to harness technology for meaningful real-world impact.
