An expert talk on “Orientation on Writing the Proposal for Inviting Projects from MSME” was organized on 27th April, 2026 by the Departments of MBA, in association with the R&D’s Cell at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru. The session aimed to create awareness among faculty members and student about the importance of Drafting Proposal towards attracting projects and resolving real-time problems faced by the organisations.

The resource persons for this session were Dr. Naveenchandra Shetty, Managing Director of Vijnanfoundation and Innovation Research, Assoicate Director ( SRINIVAS University Innovations and Incubation Cenre ) of Srinivas University and Dr. Navin N Bappalige. The resource person, Dr. Navin N Bapaligge , delivered an in-depth session covering various Entrepreneurial opportunities options available for students. Dr. Bapaligge has highlighted about different entrepeneurial initiatives. Dr. Navin also discussed the importance of Intellectual Property rights and mentioned various types of Intellectual Property rights, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and industrial designs. Sir reiterated on the fact that how various entrepreneurial projects fails due to lack of proper planning, lack of legal and regulatory compliance factors.

The next session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Naveenchandra, who was associated with Srinivas University in Incubation center for providing support to organization. Sir highlighted about different types of MSME Schemes for funding project. Prof. NAveenchandra in his address emphasized on what are the different scope of area which can present as an opportunity in form of project. All students as well as faculty members from various department had an interaction and clarified various doubts about applying and adopting the culture of writing for such proposals.
