The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP), organized a session on “Exploring Angel Investment and Venture Capital Opportunities” on 24 August 2026. The activity was conducted to strengthen student’s awareness of Startup financing and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Lokesh K. S., Associate Professor, Department of CSBS, served as the resource person. The session introduced students to the concepts of angel investment and venture capital and explained their importance in supporting innovative ideas, startups, and early-stage enterprises. The resource person discussed how investors contribute not only financial support but also professional guidance, industry connections, mentorship, and strategic direction to help promising ventures grow.

Students were encouraged to develop innovative solutions, assess their commercial potential, understand market requirements, and communicate their value proposition effectively to prospective investors. The programme concluded with an interactive discussion in which students clarified their queries concerning Startup funding and entrepreneurial opportunities. The session was informative and motivating, enhanced the students understanding of investment avenues, and encouraged them to consider innovation and entrepreneurship as potential career pathways.
