The Department of MCA, in association with the Green Cell, organized the World Environment Day Celebration titled “Green Loop – Iterate for Earth” on 5th June 2026 at M401. The program aimed to create awareness among students about environmental protection, sustainability, and the importance of collective responsibility towards nature. The event began with the Master of Ceremony, Amisha, who welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of celebrating World Environment Day. The program officially commenced with the welcome address delivered by Dhanyashree. The dignitaries and faculty members present for the event were warmly welcomed, including Dr. Shashidhar Kini K, HOD of MCA Department, Dr. Suryanarayan K, Green Cell Coordinator, and the MCA faculty members Mr. Rajesh Naik, Mr. Swapnil Pai, Ms. Sharanya, Ms. Anushree, and Ms. Ananya. An inspiring Environment Song was presented by Sanjana, conveying the message of protecting nature and building a sustainable future. An informative Environmental Talk was delivered by Madusha, who spoke about environmental issues, sustainable practices, and the responsibility of students in protecting the environment. The program was further enriched by an insightful talk from Dr. Suryanarayan K, Green Cell Coordinator, who encouraged students to actively participate in environmental conservation activities and adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives. As part of the celebration, student engagement activities such as a Digital Poster Competition and a Debate Competition were conducted to encourage creativity, awareness, and meaningful discussion on environmental concerns. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Anvitha, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, organizers, participants, and students for their valuable presence and support in making the event successful and memorable. The World Environment Day Celebration was meaningful, informative, and successful in spreading awareness about environmental responsibility and sustainable living among students.
