Workshop on Protecting IPR and IP Management for Start-Ups

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS), and the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a workshop on “Protecting IPR and IP Management for Start-Ups” on 25th May 2026. The session was delivered by Dr. Lokesh K. S., Associate Professor, Department of CSBS, who provided valuable insights into Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), patent protection, trademarks, copyrights, and effective IP management strategies for start-ups. The workshop helped participants understand the importance of safeguarding innovations and leveraging intellectual property as a strategic asset for business growth. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Dr. Suresha D, Head of the Department (CSE), Mr. Shailesh S. Shetty, Head of the Department (CSBS), Dr. Jithendra P. R. Nayak, Head of the Department (EEE), Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator, and the Department Coordinators Prof. Harishma K. V, Prof. Reshma B, and Prof. Pratheeksha B. R., whose support and encouragement contributed to the successful organization of the workshop.
