The Department of MBA, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a session titled on “Startup Legal and Ethical Steps”

on 12th May, 2026. The session was conducted by Prof. Nandakishore Polya, Advocate, practicing at Puttur & Mangaluru, Prof. Savita Rai from MBA Department coordinated the session.

The session conducted for Ist year MBA students. The primary objective of the session was to highlight about the ethical compliance and legal aspects an individual must be aware while starting with the new startup. The session reiterated the benefits of having ethical and legal compliance in place and its repurcssions in case of failed to follow the same. The resource person have been very instrumental in his deliver while connecting the theoretical aspects with practical orientation of application with live examples. Shri Nandakishore Sir also highlighted about what are the importance of Intellectual property rights and why it is needed in the present business scenario. The student has actively participated by interating with the resource person about various steps to be followed and discussed about various online portals to assess about the process
