Two-Day International Conference on “Recent Innovations in Computer Science (ICRICS) 2026
The Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, in association with the Research and Development Cell (R&D Cell), successfully organized the Two-Day International Conference on “Recent Innovations in Computer Science (ICRICS) 2026” on 11th and 12th May 2026 at the Seminar Hall of the institute. The conference was organized as a platform to showcase ongoing and completed research works, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and facilitate knowledge exchange among academicians, researchers, faculty members, industry experts, and students from various institutions across India and abroad.
The conference focused on advancing research and innovation in emerging areas of Computer Science by promoting discussions on current trends, innovative ideas, and practical research contributions. The event highlighted the importance of collaboration, innovation, and impactful research in shaping future technological advancements.
The conference was presided over by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology, who emphasized the importance of research culture, innovation, and small impactful ideas that can create meaningful contributions to society and technology. The conference featured Dr. Harivinod N., Professor and Head, Intelligent Computing and Business Systems, St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, as the Chief Guest. In his keynote interaction, he shared the inspiring “CCC Story” — Curiosity, Consistency, and Character — and encouraged participants to cultivate continuous learning, discipline, innovation, and strong ethical values in research and professional life.
The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Daya Naik, Head of the Department of AIML. Prof. Sudharshan K., Co-Convener of ICRICS-2026 and Head of the Department of ISE, introduced the Chief Guest and highlighted his academic and research achievements. Dr. Vinayak V Rao, Professor, Department of AI&DS and Convener of the Conference, presented an overview of ICRICS-2026 and highlighted the overwhelming response received for the conference, with nearly 220 research paper submissions from researchers and academicians across various states of India and other countries, reflecting strong academic participation and growing research interest in emerging domains of Computer Science.
The conference served as a valuable research conclave where participants presented innovative ideas, ongoing projects, and completed research works across diverse areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Intelligent Systems, IoT, Cybersecurity, and interdisciplinary technologies. The sessions encouraged active interaction, knowledge sharing, networking, and collaborative discussions among researchers and participants.
The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, who served as the Chief Patron of the conference. The conference coordination and execution were supported by Prof. Sowmya, R&D Event Coordinator, and Dr. Lokesh KS, R&D Cell Coordinator, whose efforts contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the program.
ICRICS-2026 concluded successfully as a vibrant platform for research showcase, academic interaction, and collaborative innovation, aligning with the objectives of the R&D Cell to strengthen research culture and promote meaningful knowledge exchange across departments and institutions.
