Mega India
The event “Mega India” was successfully conducted on 13th May 2026 at the Seminar Hall of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, by the Department of MBA in association with Trail Blazers and Lalitharanga. The program began at 1:30 PM and was organized under Volmus with the aim of celebrating the rich cultural diversity and heritage of India.The event focused on presenting the traditions, culture, and uniqueness of different Indian states through enthusiastic student participation and creative performances. Students actively participated and showcased their talents through presentations, cultural performances, and creative displays. The program witnessed vibrant participation from both students and faculty members, making the event lively and informative.
A total of six teams participated in the event, representing the states of Punjab, Manipur, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. Each team creatively presented the distinctive culture of their respective states, including traditional attire, language, dance forms, food habits, customs, and historical significance. The presentations helped the audience understand the rich diversity of Indian culture and the concept of unity in diversity.The event was honored by the gracious presence of the distinguished guests Dr. Caroline M D'souza and Spoorthi B, whose valuable presence added great significance to the program. Their encouraging words and appreciation motivated the participants and made the event more meaningful.
The event was coordinated by Prof. Megha and Prof. Mithun Raj, who served as the Staff Event Coordinators. The program was further guided by Prof. Ashwini, Cultural Coordinator (MBA), under the leadership of Dr. Veena Santhosh Rai, Head of the MBA Department. The event also received the support and encouragement of the Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D.The participants demonstrated excellent teamwork, creativity, confidence, and presentation skills throughout the event. The audience gained valuable insights into the cultural richness and traditions of various Indian states through the engaging performances and presentations.
Overall, the Mega India event was conducted successfully with great enthusiasm, coordination, and active participation. The program turned out to be informative, entertaining, and memorable, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who attended.
