On 2 May 2026, the NSS Unit of the AIML Department, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, conducted a Heatstroke Awareness Programme on campus.

The initiative focused on educating students about the risks of extreme heat and the importance of preventive measures such as staying hydrated, avoiding direct sunlight, and recognizing early symptoms of heat-related illness.

Students actively participated, spreading awareness and promoting safe practices for a healthier environment during rising temperatures.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Madhusudhan S and Prof. Rakesh Mallya, with the support of Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D and HOD Prof. Daya Naik.
