On the occasion of creating social awareness, the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning under the NSS Unit of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, organized an Awareness Programme on Clean India, No Plastic, and Anti-Drug Campaign under the theme “Awareness is our first step, Change is our goal” within the campus premises.

The programme aimed to spread awareness among students about the importance of maintaining cleanliness, avoiding plastic usage, and staying away from harmful substances like drugs, gutka, and cigarettes. It also emphasized the role of individuals in contributing to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and building a greener and healthier society.

NSS volunteers actively participated in the initiative by promoting eco-friendly practices, encouraging proper waste disposal, and taking a pledge to adopt a responsible and disciplined lifestyle.

The event was conducted under the guidance of NSS staff Coordinator Prof. Madhusudan S and Prof. Rakesh Mallya and with the support and encouragement of Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, HOD Prof. Daya Naik, and other respected faculty members.

The programme successfully motivated students to adopt sustainable habits, respect environmental values, and contribute towards a clean and drug-free society.
