The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology, in association with STEADY and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized a workshop on “Raising Capital and Finance Management for Startups” on 30th April 2026.

The session was conducted by Ms. Ankitha, Assistant Professor from the Department of MBA, SIT Mangalore, who served as the resource person. The workshop aimed to provide students with essential knowledge on financial planning, funding strategies, and capital acquisition for startups.

During the session, Ms. Ankitha elaborated on various funding sources available for startups, including bootstrapping, angel investors, venture capital, and bank loans. She also explained key aspects of financial management such as budgeting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting. The session highlighted practical approaches to managing startup finances effectively and emphasized the importance of strategic decision-making in ensuring business sustainability.

The workshop was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and clarifying their doubts regarding startup funding and financial challenges. Real-world examples and case studies were used to enhance understanding and provide practical insights.
