The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, in association with All Student Mechanical Association (ASMA) and IIC, successfully organized an Alumni Interaction Session on 29/04/2026 in the Mechanical Block Classroom. The session commenced with the objective of providing students with practical industrial exposure, career guidance, and motivation through the experiences of successful alumni.

The special guest for the session was Mr. Nasir, a proud alumnus of the institution who is currently working in Abu Dhabi. He shared his valuable industrial experience, professional journey, and insights gained while working in an international industrial environment.

During the session, Mr. Nasir explained the importance of technical knowledge, communication skills, teamwork, discipline, and continuous learning for building a successful career in the engineering field. He also discussed industrial work culture, practical challenges in the workplace, and the growing opportunities available for skilled engineers in foreign countries.

The students actively participated in the interaction and raised questions regarding higher studies, placements, skill development, and overseas job opportunities. The session was highly interactive and motivated students to focus on improving their competencies for future career success.

Programme was organised by Prof. Sathya Prakash A, IIIC Coodiantor and Prof. Sandesh K S, ASMA Coordinator. Dr. M J Raghavendra, IIC-ambassador were present during the interaction. Dr. Shankar K.S., Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, encouraged and motivated the students to actively participate and make the most of this learning opportunity.
