The Department of Information Science & Engineering (ISE) and the Department of Computer Science & Design (CSD) of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangalore, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a session titled “Resume Building for Aspiring Innovators & Entrepreneurs” on 05 March 2026 at 02:00 PM in the Department Seminar Hall.

The objective of the session was to guide students on creating professional and ATS-friendly resumes that highlight their skills, innovations, projects, and entrepreneurial abilities. The program aimed to help students understand the importance of presenting their academic achievements, technical skills, and innovative ideas effectively while applying for internships, placements, and startup opportunities.

During the session, Ms. Saanvi Shetty, a student from the Department of Information Science & Engineering, took the lead in demonstrating the resume-building process. She conducted a practical presentation explaining how to use the online platform cv.krytil.com for creating professional resumes. Through a step-by-step demonstration, she showed students how to enter their academic details, technical skills, project information, and achievements to generate ATS-friendly resumes suitable for industry standards.

Following the demonstration, students actively participated in the hands-on activity by creating their own resumes using the platform. The session provided valuable insights into structuring resumes, highlighting innovative projects, and presenting entrepreneurial competencies effectively. Students were encouraged to showcase their technical expertise, leadership experiences, and project work in a professional manner.

The event was conducted under the guidance and support of the institution's leadership and faculty members. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, extended encouragement for such skill-development initiatives. Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator, supported the organization of the activity. Prof. Sudarshan K, HOD of ISE & CSD, provided departmental guidance for the successful conduct of the program. The event was further supported by Prof. Sowmya (ISE Staff Advisor) and Prof. Archana D (CSD Staff Advisor). The program was coordinated by Prof. Aparna N and Prof. Sahana B, who ensured the smooth execution of the activity. The session proved to be highly beneficial for students, enabling them to understand the importance of professional resume preparation and equipping them with the tools required to present their skills and innovations effectively.
