The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an “Innovation Showcase: Prototype Presentation” on 17th and 18th February 2026 at Room No: 103. The event aimed to encourage students to present innovative ideas and working prototypes, thereby promoting creativity, research, and technological innovation among students.

The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal; Dr. Suresha D, Head of the Department, CSE; Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator; Dr. Jithendra P R Naik, Department IIC Coordinator; Prof. Harishma K V, Department IIC Coordinator; and Prof. Deepthi Dsouza, Department Project Coordinator. Their support and guidance contributed significantly to the successful organization of the event.

During the showcase, students presented various innovative prototypes and technical solutions developed as part of their academic and creative projects. The prototypes highlighted applications in areas such as software development, Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems, automation, and smart technology solutions. Each team explained the concept, design methodology, implementation process, and potential real-world applications of their projects.

Faculty members evaluated the prototypes based on innovation, technical feasibility, creativity, and practical applicability. The event provided a valuable platform for students to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world problems and improve their technical presentation and communication skills.

Students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering actively participated and demonstrated their innovative thinking and technical abilities. The Innovation Showcase encouraged students to think creatively and motivated them to explore new technological ideas that could contribute to societal and industrial development.

The event concluded successfully with appreciation extended to the students, faculty members, and organizing team for their efforts in making the Innovation Showcase a productive and inspiring experience. The department looks forward to organizing more such events to promote innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students.
