The Department of MCA, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, organized the Inaugural Function of SOLVE-A-THON 1.0, a 24-Hour National Level Hackathon, on 20th February 2026. The program commenced by seeking the divine blessings of God for the successful conduct of the event. The inauguration was graced by the Chief Guest, Ms. Prathvi V Rao, Tech Lead at Hewlett Packard, whose inspiring presence marked the beginning of an energetic celebration of innovation, technical excellence, and intellectual creativity.

SOLVE-A-THON 1.0 aimed to encourage students to truly think about solving a hackathon challenge through creativity, collaboration, and practical problem-solving. Participants worked intensively on real-world problem statements, transforming innovative ideas into functional solutions within a limited timeframe. The event provided hands-on exposure to teamwork, coding, analytical thinking, and industry-oriented solution development.

A total of 83 teams participated in the hackathon, of which 26 teams were from BCA, and the remaining 57 teams were from MCA and BE streams. The enthusiastic participation reflected strong competitive spirit and dedication among students. The 24-hour hackathon concluded successfully on 21-02-2026, marking the completion of an intense and enriching journey of innovation and collaborative problem-solving.
