The Department of Marine Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an outreach program titled “From Ideas to Impact: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program” at DKZP Higher Primary School, Veera Kamba on 27th February 2026. The initiative aimed to promote innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among school students through interactive and activity-based learning.

A team of 6th Semester Marine Engineering students, accompanied by faculty coordinators Prof. Sunil Prakash R and Mr. Sathisha K G, actively conducted the sessions under the guidance of Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator, Dr. Lokesh V, Head of Marine Engineering, and Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal.

The students organized engaging activities, simple science demonstrations, and interactive discussions to encourage creative thinking and problem-solving skills. School children were motivated to identify everyday problems and suggest innovative solutions, helping them understand the basics of entrepreneurship in a simple and practical manner.

The outreach program concluded successfully, creating awareness about innovation and entrepreneurship among young learners while fostering social responsibility among the participating students.
