Startup Spark – Igniting Student Ideas Empowering Innovators

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in association with EDP Cell, Startup Cell, IIIC, AIC NITTE Incubation Centre, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), and K-Tech organized a program titled “Startup Spark – Igniting Student Ideas Empowering Innovators” on 17th February 2026 at the Seminar Hall.

The program was arranged to create awareness among students about innovation, startup development, and entrepreneurship. It also focused on explaining Technology Readiness Level (TRL), Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), commercialization, and technology transfer.

The session was delivered by distinguished resource persons Dr. A.P. Achar, Mr. Vaishak Pai K, and Mr. Ashish Rai, who shared their knowledge and real-life experiences in startup ecosystems and business development. They explained how innovative ideas can be validated, protected through patents, and transformed into successful ventures.

The speakers explained how students can develop their ideas from the initial concept stage to commercially viable products. They highlighted the importance of funding support, incubation facilities, mentorship, and collaboration with industry partners. The session encouraged active participation, and students engaged in meaningful discussions while clearing their queries.

The program provided students with practical exposure to the startup ecosystem and strengthened their understanding of entrepreneurship. It motivated them to think innovatively and work towards building sustainable and impactful ventures. The session ended with a vote of thanks and appreciation to the resource persons for their valuable guidance.
